As we continue our journey in the 2nd trimester, we are going to have a nice meal at the restaurant. During the previous weeks, the kids have learned vocabulary words related to restaurants and we made a chef's hat!
Now, here's a fun way to practice some words about food. It's called the odd one out!
You can play this game whether you have babies, tods or kids.
All the things you need are found in your kitchen. This quick game is ideal for beginners who may be learning simple vocabulary like different fruits and vegetables.
The way it works is that you write or show 4 words in a group. For example: Cherry, Orange, Eggplant, and Banana.
and you will ask your child to choose the one that doesn't belong to the group.
If you have babies all you have to do is show them the pictures, say the word and say yes or no.
For example: Show a picture of a cherry. Cherry... cherry... Yes, It's a cherry.
Next, show a picture of a banana...
Cherry? No, banana... banana.
This will practice their visuals, hearing and memory. As they grow older they will be able to say the words as well.
